Privacy Policy

Pantory is designed with privacy in mind. Pantory does not require you to create an account, and the developer does not require or collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number in order to use the app.

Pantry Data and iCloud

Information you add to Pantory may include item names, quantities, locations, categories, expiration dates, barcodes, photos, and item history. Pantory uses Apple's Core Data and CloudKit technologies to store and sync supported app data through your iCloud account.

The developer does not operate a separate Pantory account system or server for your pantry inventory. iCloud storage and synchronization are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.

Shared Pantries

Pantory Pro allows you to share a pantry with people you invite using Apple's iCloud sharing technologies. When you choose to share a pantry, the pantry data you share can be viewed and modified by accepted participants. Sharing and participant access are managed through Apple's CloudKit and iCloud services.

Camera and Photo Library

Pantory may request access to your camera when you choose to scan a barcode or take a product photo. Photo Library access may be requested when you choose to select an existing image. These permissions are used only to provide the feature you requested.

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, Pantory can schedule expiration reminders on your device. You can change notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Open Food Facts

When you scan or look up a product barcode, Pantory may send that barcode to the Open Food Facts service to retrieve available product information such as the product name, category, and product image. Open Food Facts is a third-party service, and requests to its service are subject to its own terms and privacy practices.

Pantory does not intentionally send your pantry quantities, expiration dates, or other inventory details to Open Food Facts as part of a barcode lookup. Product information returned by Open Food Facts may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable because it comes from an open, community-maintained database.

Analytics

Pantory uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand general app usage and improve the product. Analytics may include events such as app launches and feature interactions, along with technical information such as app version, operating system version, and device type.

TelemetryDeck anonymizes usage data and states that it does not store IP addresses, cookies, or persistent identifiers that can be traced back to an individual. Pantory does not use TelemetryDeck analytics for advertising.

Purchases

Pantory Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not receive or store your payment card information.

Third-Party Services

Pantory uses Apple services including iCloud, CloudKit, StoreKit, notifications, camera and photo frameworks; Open Food Facts for product lookups; and TelemetryDeck for privacy-focused usage analytics. The developer does not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Pantory changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
